Notice to all bird owners:
Spring has arrived and recently there have been MANY birds lost. This mainly has been due to parronts (parents of parrots) allowing their birds to be fully flighted and not considering open doors, windows, holes in screens, etc. I’m getting 2 to 4 notices of lost birds from 911 parrot alert a DAY!
PLEASE consider getting your bird either fully or partially trimmed for their safety! We do wing, nail and beak trims. We don’t want to see your kid on the lost list!!! Prices are $5 for small birds, $7 for medium, and $10 for large. There is an additional $2 fee for specialty trims. This money goes to help support our rescue and sanctuary. If you wish us to come to you, there is an additional charge to cover the cost of gas.
Wilma is a Quaker Parakeet and Sweet Pea is a Jenday Conure. Their health is excellent. Sweet Pea is 10 yrs old and of full feather; Wilma is age unknown, partially naked and handicapped.
Sweet Pea lives up to his name completely unless it’s other birds besides Wilma then he can be aggressive at times. Sweet Pea does talk and loves to give kisses. Wilma on the other hand is very territorial about her cage, she has laid eggs so we know she is a female. She will step up onto a towel (rather grab it like a bull dog) to come out of her cage and once ‘caught’ is super sweet. She originally came to us so handicapped she couldn’t hardly stand let alone walk. Her handicap is that she is hunch-backed and due to this handicap should remain either fully flighted or partially flighted to keep her back muscles strong. She is very strongly bonded to Sweet Pea and cannot be separated as she will stop eating, singing and talking. The special thing about Wilma? She sings! She has a beautiful voice and doesn’t sound like a Quaker in the least. She can be very, very loud at times and that is why this pair has been very hard to adopt out.
Adoption fee: $150 includes Cage, perches, handicap perch, bowls and toys.

Their age is unknown but they are assumed to be in their teens and their health is excellent and both are of full feather.
They have very good dispositions. Dudley is SUPER sweet. He loves to share your food and take baths in the sink as you do dishes (he thinks he’s ‘helping). He prefers women but will step up to anyone he knows. Kiki is a bit reserved and prefers men or anyone who has food. She is occasionally territorial about her cage but will step up on a stick and when away from her cage she is quite sweet. Both love to be on a play stand and are totally trustworthy to stay there and not wander, that is unless you have food, then they want to share it with you (ok, eat it all). This pair of kids would be perfect for a husband and wife who both want a bird of their own and want the birds to get along.
Adoption fee: $250 includes cage, perches, bowls and toys

Found female cockatiel in 164th area of Vancouver, WA. You must provide a picture of you with your bird to prove ownership. She was found on the 18th and is very sweet. She will need to see a vet as she is quite thin and plucking so owner will need to either take her to the vet or pay us for us taking her to the vet.
Update

Pepper the timneh african gray parrot has been adopted. Congratulations Brenda!

Pepper a timneh gray. This guy has a great sense of humor and a huge vocabulary. He understands many things in context to!!! Yesterday we were chopping up carrots and he was saying, carrot, carrot, want a carrot?. Fully feathered, needs experienced african gray parent as he does on occasion bite. PIctures are in the process of being taken.
Adoption Fee is $500 including cage, perches, toys and bowls
Timmy the nanday is banded, fully feathered and super sweet. He loves to groom ears and is a total shoulder hound. Boo is partially naked and handicapped in one foot. He also is sweet and we have allowed him to be fully flighted to aid with his locomotion in his handicapped foot. Timmy and Boo’s favorite thing is to ‘help’ you to do dishes by taking their bath at the same time in the kitchen sink. Picture of Boo is in the process of being taken.
Adoption Fee is $150 including cage, perches, bowls and toys.
Nanday, blue crown conure pair. Both are naked, the nanday more so. Scooter is the blue crown and female (laid eggs) and Kiwi is the male. Both love to give kisses and Kiwi loves to dance and be sung to. Adoption Fee is $200 including cage, perches, toys and bowls AND thermo perch.
Giggles the 3 year old nanday is super sweet and was allowed to pair up with an elderly partially naked and handicapped sunconure while at a now canceled adoption outreach store. While at that store the sunconure was injured and the store refused to take Weebles to the vet in time to repair the injury so now she is permanently handicapped in one leg. Weebles was used as a breeder and her mate died of cancer. She prefers other birds but is no longer inclined to bite and will slowly and carefully step up onto your finger. Both Giggles and Weebles do not wander off of playstands and for this pair they aren’t all that loud either. Adopting parronts must be able/willing to provide a thermo perch for Weebles.
Picture of Giggles coming.
Adoption Fee: $150 including cage, perches, bowls and toys
