Our Bird Rescue occupies a good part of the interior of our home. Here we are able to monitor the health and personalities of each bird that has been rescued, abandoned, or found by someone. Also, birds requiring medical attention and special care are more easily attended to here. Birds available for adoption are also housed here.
New birds are kept in quarantine for 30 days to ensure good health and not infect others with potential diseases. Quarantine is NOT shown as some birds still in quarantine are extremely shy of new things and are still learning to cope with the change of being away from their family. Currently we are working on building a separate building for quarantine birds, which will be much more spacious, easier to clean with less likelihood of spreading disease to healthy birds available for adoption as well as our own personal birds.
